Option 1: a browser source (music and credit in one)
- Open the overlay generator, pick a playlist and a style, and copy the URL.
- In OBS add a Browser source and paste the URL. Use 1920 × 1080.
- Tick Control audio via OBS so the music shows in the Audio Mixer and you can set its level and monitoring.
- Untick Shutdown source when not visible if you want the music to keep going when you change scene.
The page streams the MP3s directly. It shuffles, loops and shows the track with the credit line on screen. If the music doesn’t start in a normal browser tab, click the page once. OBS itself allows it automatically.
Option 2: a media or VLC source
Download the MP3s from any playlist and add them to a VLC Video Source playlist or a Media Source. Then show the credit with the overlay in display-only mode: set play=0 in its URL.
Option 3: any external player
Use the M3U8 file from each playlist page in VLC or another player. Keep the overlay open with play=0 for the credit line.
Audio tips
- Aim for music about 15 to 20 dB below your voice, and test with your mic live.
- Use a separate audio track for music if you want to keep it out of the VOD.
- Don’t mix in a personal music-app playlist.
