TOOL 02
OBS now-playing overlay
One URL for an OBS Browser source: it plays the playlist and shows the track with the credit line as a lower-third. A plain static page, no account, works in any streaming software that can show a web page.
The preview is silent. The real URL plays the music.
Set it up in OBS
- Set the options. Pick a playlist, a style, a corner and when the overlay is shown.
- Copy the URL. Use the copy button under the preview.
- Add a Browser source in OBS. Sources, plus, Browser. Paste the URL, set width 1920 and height 1080, tick “Control audio via OBS”.
- Check the mixer. The music appears in the Audio Mixer. Set it about 15 to 20 dB under your voice.

Good to know
- The music streams from the audio host, so only the machine that runs OBS plays it.
- If it stays silent in a normal browser tab, click the page once: browsers block sound until you do. OBS does not.
- Keep the credit visible. “Always” or “every few minutes” are both fine.
